The old fashioned horizontal rotisserie is not needed now. Roto-Q’s grill is rotated by the rotisserie motor being under the bbq.
The spit-rod is connected to the grill above, driving the grill in a circular motion very slowly. With the fuel source placed off
to one side of the bbq, the grill can rotate the food in and out of the direct heat. This effect allows occasional flare-up,if any,
to burn itself out by not having a constant drip of juices, allowing the food to pass over briefly not burning the food. The food
can be turned over at longer intervals, eliminating the constant attention needed with the ordinary bbq.
Chicken, ribs, roasts and other food that need time to cook, will cook faster because the lid can be left on longer. Leaving the
lid in place longer creates an oven affect, causing the food to cook thoroughly. The food tested by our Roto-Q staff was juicier,
more tender, and cooked throughout.
